Not many new transfers in the past few days, with the only big recent moves being Abdoulaye Faye joining Stoke from Newcastle for £2.25 million, and Pedro Mendes joining Rangers from Portsmouth for £3 million.

With the new Premiership season due to kick off in just over 4 hours time, it appears that there will not be too many new signings being made, although the transfer window doesn’t close until 31st August so there is still quite a long time remaining. Perhaps after todays and tomorrows games the clubs will know where they need to strengthen, if at all.
