Manchester City have re-signed Shaun Wright Phillips from Chelsea for an undisclosed fee on a 4 year contract. Wright Phillips left City in July 2005 to join Chelsea for £21 million. No doubt Chelsea will have made a massive loss from signing Shaun in the first place, hence the undisclosed fee.
Wright Phillips’ career had been stagnating ever-since he left City, and so he will be glad to play first-team football again at the City of Manchester stadium. I wonder how the City fans will greet the player, though he is bound to get a good reception from the majority of the fans at the club.
It appears that the sale of Shaun Wright Phillips could be a sign that the Robinho transfer is nearly completed, with the Madrid winger set to sign for Chelsea for a massive £28 million fee.
In other football-transfer dealings, German defender Moritz Volz has joined Championship side Ipswich on a season long loan deal. Volz had problems last season with various injuries, and he will now be looking to put his career back on track at Portman Road.

This is a good decision made by Hughes, frankly speaking, this man an never improve himself if he continue playing for Chelsea, i’ve seen this guy play for Man City and this guy become a dangerous winger in EPL but since he joining Chelsea, I can’t see the real Wright Philips.. All i can say is, this guy is totally belong to Man City not other club..and it just a matter of time before he gain back his reputation as a dangerous and powerful winger in EPL and Europe..
