Everton look to have replaced Andy Johnson by making an offer for Manchester United striker Louis Saha. With United seemingly accepting the offer, Saha will move to Everton on a 2 year contract, subject to passing a medical
This move will no doubt put more pressure on United to bring in a striker to the club, after looking quite lacking in the firepower department for the past few matches. I’m not sure if this will turn out to be a good deal for Everton - it will inevitably depend on whether Saha can get back to match fitness.

Louis Saha has agreed to join Everton on a 2 year deal

United’s rivals City have meanwhile agreed a fee with Spanish side Espanyol for defender Pablo Zabaleta. City made an offer of £6.45 million, which triggers one of the buy-out-clauses in the Argentine defenders contract. Zabaleta will now hold talks with City, followed by taking a medical at the club.

Martin O’Neil has acted quickly to the news that James Milner wants out at St. James Park, and has brought in the England U21 winger for a fee believed to be in the £8 million region. Milner had previously been on loan to Aston Villa a few seasons back, and he has now signed on a 4 year deal. Martin O’Neil continues to bring in young English talent to the midlands club, who’s fans will no doubt be delighted with the latest exciting addition to the squad.

Zenit St. Petersburg forward Andrei Arshavin has admitted that he won’t be joining the club, and he fully expects that Roman Pavlyuchenko will instead be arriving to the North London club in the next day or so.
