With the transfer deadline just a couple of hours away, today is sure to be a very busy day and already there have been numerous rumours and signings made.
As reported a few days back, Tottenham Hotspur have made a move for Manchester City right back Vedran Corluka. It was thought that Corluka would have been on his way out a few days ago, when City signed Vicent Kompany, however the move fell through and City cancelled the deal. Since then City have signed another defender, Pablo Zabaleta. Corluka then handed in a transfer-request, and so Spurs again showed their interest and have now signed the 22 year old Crotian defender.
According to dutch side AZ Alkmaar, West Bromwich Albion have agreed a deal to sign Dutch defender Ryan Donk. The Under 21 international defender will sign on a season long loan deal, pending a medical at WBA.
Spanish side Deportivo La Coruna have meanwhile claimed that Newcastle United have agreed a deal to sign Spanish Under 21 international striker Xisco for a fee of £5.7 million. The highly rated 22 year old will join ex-team mate Fabricio Coloccini who was also signed by Newcastle before the new season kicked off.
Hull City are interested in signing Rangers forward Daniel Cousin according to the latest reports. The
French striker had been out of favour at the Ibrox club until at the weekend when he played and scored in the old firm derby, before being sent off for a second bookable offence.
