West Ham left it late to announce the signings of two new faces, blaming an administrative problem for the delay in making the deals public. Firstly they have signed David Di Michele from Torino on a season-long loan deal, with a view to make the move permanent. Di Michele is a 32 year old striker, who apparently Roma were also interested in buying.
The second player West Ham have signed is Herita Ilunga, again on a season-long loan deal with a view to making the move permanent. Ilunga is a 26 year old Congan defender who signs from french side Toulousse.
The London club also announced that they are still looking to sign the free-agent Stephen Appiah, who was recently released by Turkish giants Fenerbache.
