England finally overcame a very-well organised but highly defensive Andorra team, winning 2-0 thanks to goals by Joe Cole both in the second half.
As mentioned in the last post, England started brightly with Walcott looking very dangerous down the wing, but the team couldn’t take any of their chances and things started to slow down towards the second half, with many of the fans starting to boo when passes went astray.
However after half-time, and with the introduction of Joe Cole and Emile Heskey, England managed to find the break-through after just a few minutes. Joe Cole latched onto volley a cross and then poked the ball past the Andorra keeper after a lovely through-ball by Rooney.
England travel to Croatia on Wednesday which promises to be a much tougher and probably far more exciting game of football.
