Reading “scored” quite an amazing goal at the weekend… the ball went out of play, but the linesman thought that the ball had actually crossed the goal-line, and so flagged to award the goal. For some bizarre reason, the referee decided to award the goal, on the linesman’s say so.
The game ended 2-2, and after the match and after viewing the goal Reading manager Steve Coppell stated that he would happily allow the match to be replayed, if thats what the FA decide to do…
