Barcelona treated everyone to a 6-2 thriller with Real Madrid at the weekend and that result is sure to give them a massive confidence boost coming into this match (not that they needed it). Although there will be plenty of people thinking that Barcelona will breeze past Chelsea, those people will be in for a shock. It’s very unlikely that Chelsea will give anything away, and they will look to nulify the Barcelona attack just like they did at the Nou Camp.
Guus Hiddink has a full strength squad at his disposal and it’s likely he will start with the same side that held Barcelona 0-0 last week, although the terrific performance of Anelka and Drogba at the weekend is sure to delight him, as it’s yet another way Chelsea can play should they need to chase the game.
Barcelona will be without Carlos Puyol but Thierry Henry is likely to feature after he limped off at the weekend. Barcelona will go into this game knowing La Liga is all but won and expect them to play their brand of attacking football as they search for an away goal.
