Spain vs Italy: Euro 2012 Preview

It’s time for one of the most hyped games so far in Euro 2012! (which will probably mean that it will be a boring draw) Spain will most likely have Cesc Fabregas back from injury and will be looking to get a flying start with a win. Italy however, will be wanting to dispel their critics and put their terrible world cup performance behind them.
It should be interesting to see who both teams chose as their starting strikers, Balotelli for Italy is always a slight gamble; but if he plays anywhere near to what he can, you’d expect him to get at least a few goals this tournament.
And with the absence of David Villa, will Spain chose in form Fernando Llorente, or with the experience of Fernando Torres? Maybe Spain might have use long balls more often if they play Llorente, I guess we’ll find out
To be honest, this game might turn out to be really boring, with both sides not wanting a defeat. I’m far more looking forward to Croatia vs Republic of Ireland, that should be a cracking game!
