The underperforming Real Madrid has suprisingly retained it’s crown as the richest club in world football thanks largely to Zidane, Ronaldo and David Beckham.
Real’s revenue for the 2005-2006 season amounted to €292.2 million, the large chunk of which was dereived from the massive marketing appeal of their former stars (Zidane retired, Ronaldo now with Milan and Becks to La Galaxy).
Barcelona came in second while Man Utd dropped to 4th being upstaged by Juventus.
