Did Andy Carroll’s header against Chelsea cross the line? Replays were quite inconclusive but I think the linesman made a great decision by not giving the goal – at first I thought it was a clear goal, but upon viewing the replay I don’t think the whole of the ball crossed the line.
The one element of doubt I have is that the camera angle below seems to be at a slight angle.. I mean, you can see the crossbar isn’t horizontal, it leans back, and so the view isn’t inline with the goal so its hard to tell whether the complete ball did or didn’t cross the line.
Chelsea managed to hold on to win the FA Cup 2-1 thanks to goals from Ramires and Drogba, with Carroll scoring previously to pull one back.
