Pulsating Matches in Group F Finale

WOW!
australia
Socceroos Fans delighted

So far for me group A,C,E & F is the best groups to watch, i truly enjoyed their games, and last night was no different as the already qualified Brazilians took on the Asian champs Japan and
Australia & Crotia battled it to who would accompany Brazil from group F.

Both matches took place at the exact same time, but i was flicking from one channel to the other
to catch glimpses of both games,Aussie v.s Croatia being the more enetertaining one to watch.

The most pulsating, dramatic, heart-stopping contest so far ended with Australia booking a last-16 meeting with Italy win a 2-2 draw with the Croats.

Harry Kewell got the important second goal that saw the aussie’s go through, and ironically Kewell could have missed this game if Fifa appliad a ban on him after insulting the ref in the previous Australia (Aus v.s Bra) game.

Twice Australia were forced to come from behind to grab the precious point they so desperately required after conceding initially in the second minute, then at the start of the second period following a mistake to rank up with any the competition had ever seen from recalled keeper Zeljko Kalac.

Japan however were eliminated from the World Cup , dissapointing millions of their fans who expected more after a promising feature in the previous tournament on home ground, and is common knowledge that besides progressing, the Japenese also always want to do better than their asian counterpart -South Korea, though in truth Korea are poised to take their place in the last 16 tonight.

All the ‘fatty’ jibes that were thrown at Ronaldo recently was answered by a sterling display by the once Player Of The Year with a brace, scoring in the 45th & 81st minute.

The Real Madrid forward equalled Gerd Muller’s World Cup scoring record of 14 with a goal in each half after Keiji Tamada had given Japan an unlikely lead in the 34th minute.

Japanese goalkeeper Yoshikatsu Kawaguchi deserved to be praised for his efforts to deny the brazilians on many occasions, but in the end it all proved to be futile.

Even though Brazil rested Roberto Carlos,Cafu,Adriano,Emerson & Ze Roberto, the in truth looked and played better withe their replacement or ‘Team B’ players, as Cicinho,Gibelrto,Juninho,Giberlto Silva and Robinho played extremely well.

The Return Of Ronaldo?

It ended 4-1,the result was no less than Carlos Alberto Parreira’s team deserved after a marauding opening to the Group F game which somehow failed to yield a goal for the world champions.
