Paolo Di Canio and company have a new face to welcome to the Stadium of Light tomorrow as a late Deadline Day deal has Liverpool’s Fabio Borini joining the struggling club for a season long loan. Borini should be of much use to Sunderland, who will need all the help they can get to stay up this season. The Black Cats have also signed Napoli’s Andrea Dossena to a deal, marking PDC’s 13th signing for Sunderland of the Summer.
On the opposite end of the spectrum for the Black Cats, Stephane Sessegnon (shown above) has permanently left the club in favor of fellow EPL strugglers West Bromwich Albion, who will surely welcome his attacking presence into their lineup. Sessegnon has penned a 3 year deal at the Hawthorns with WBA reportedly breaking their transfer fee record to acquire him, leaving manager Steve Clarke eager to get the proven goal scorer on the pitch for WBA.
