Some more top-quality journalism from the Mirror today, with a man presumably calling the tabloid to tell them that he spoke to Eric Cantona’s son Raphael outside a nightclub in Barcelona, with the two chatting about football and their fondness of Manchester United.

When Raphael realised the man was a United fan he admitted that his dad was the king of Manchester – the one and only Eric Cantona. He went on to tell the boy that Cantona, after watching United lose the title to City on the last day of the season, kung-fu kicked a coffee table, smashing it to pieces.

So it appears that somethings never change, and Cantona is still as passionate about United as ever. To verify credibility of the story, the Mirror went on to state that when the man went home he searched for Raphael on Facebook just to check that his story levelled out – and apparently it did…

Hopefully his technique will have improved a little since this incident…
