Cech Out! Mourinho can’t stop Peter Cech’s move to Arsenal

Peter Chec become Arsenal’s no.1 target as Wojciech Szczesny facing uncertain future.

Jose Mourinho has admitted he is powerless to stop Peter Cech joining Arsenal.

Previously, the Chelsea boss had reiterated his desire to keep Peter Cech at Stamford Bridge. With the arrival of Thibaut Courtois from Altlitico Madrid in last summer, Cech has been limited to the bench. In search of first time football he is ready to move on and his preference to stay in London has encouraged Arsenal entourage to make move for him as they are looking to add top-drawer keeper to their ranks.

Jose Mourinho, in an interview with TalkSPORT’s Alan Brazil Breakfast show, said:

“If it is in my hands he would never go, would never go to big club with fantastic teams. Big candidates to win the premier league. I would never let him go.

“But it is not in my hands. My perfect scenario is that he stays with us, I think he belongs to this club, this club belongs to his history and to his life, too.

“He is fantastic keeper, fantastic dressing room and squad man. I tried to prove the respect I have for him. I played him in the cups, gave him matches in Premier league.

“I can imagine that a 32 or 33 year old keeper feels young and feels the passion to play every game.”

Peter Cech is not only the world class keeper, which Arsenal has been lacking since the departure of the Jens Lahmann, player of his quality and experience will also bring winning mentality and the leadership on and off  the pitch.
