Di Maria- Pogba Swap makes sense

One of the most unusual rumors of this transfer window is the swap rumor involving Pogba of Juventus and Angel Di Maria of Real Madrid. While this rumor may sound weird, this deal signals a gamble taken by Real Madrid that could actually pay off.

Throughout this world cup teams all over the world have been on the watch out for top performers and we find here two teams who have got a player each who performed admirably in Brazil and for some bizarre reason they want to trade these two players between each other.

The question on everyone’s mind , Why?

For starters, due to some bizarre reason Real Madrid’s president Florentino Perez does not seem to be pleased with Di Maria how ever brilliantly he performs. He was the star of their double winning season last year. He is the star of Argentina currently but Perez does not seem to be pleased and wants to ship him out and bring in one of the most outstanding young talents in world football. Seeing from the financial point of view, Pogba would represent a better piece of business in terms of resale value given he is just 21 years of age.

On the other hand you have Juventus who have Pogba in their ranks. But due to their abundance of players in the midfield area they can actually do without Pogba especially as they will be getting Di Maria in return. They are in search of wingers and their list include Sanchez and Nani as well. This deal should convince Juventus to sell although they would be hoping to get some cash as well in return for Pogba.

If this deal does go through then it will be a win-win situation with Madrid having the better advantage. If Pogba can reach his potential then this gamble will pay dividends in the future.
