Today seems to be the day for strikers.
Grabbing the headlines today are Carlos Tevez,Christian Vieri,Martins and Trezeguet.
Let’s go in order shall we?:
Carlos Tevez
The Argentinian hitman has always been rumored to leave his current club Corinthians,however things have intensified in the last 24 hours as Tevez himself has asked to be transfer listed after clashing with club coach and former Brazil goalkeeper Emerson Leao.
This of course will alert many top European clubs and Man Utd seems to be his likely destination because of the combination of Tevez’s admiration for the lub and Ferguson’s admiration of the player.
If Tevez does move to Utd and strikes a partnership with Rooney, than it will be one of the most potent strikeforce anywhere in the World, not to mention they are both still so young.
Obafemi Martins
The Nigerian is set to trade the back and blue stripes of Inter for the Black and White stripes of…..Newcastle (not Juventus 
).
“Eighty per cent of the deal with Newcastle is completed,†admitted the Nigerian.
“I’m close to moving to Newcastle, despite all the initial delays.
Christian Vieri
Remember him? The 33-year-old wants to discuss a contract with Juventus after seperating on mutual consent with his club Sampodaria.
A player that actually wants to move to Seri B with Juventus? Well miracles do happen!
David Trezeguet
Lyon who sold Mahamadou Diarra to Real Madrid is now all cashed up and has renewed their interest in the French foward.
Juventus may not want to let go of such a talent after already losing Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Inter Milan but may have to conceed if the offer is to good to turn down.
Lyon are also after Trezeguet’s teammate and World Cup winner Mauro Camoranesi.

If United indeed lands Tevez, it would be a huge boost to the team’s attack. Carlitos was the best player in Brazil last year, and was doing very well for Corinthians prior to the World Cup too. He seems to have been thinking about Europe ever since he went to the World Cup with Argentina, so after the tournament he hasn’t quite been the same (but once in England he’d certainly return to his old self).
