Kick Off : 15:00 GMT
Venue : The Stadium Of Light, Sunderland

The Black Cats have been impressive this season with their performances and a few of their wins. But their away form seems relatively week with four defeats in six road matches. Their last appearance at Tottenham arguably warranted at least a draw and possibly even a win. The fact that Sunderland finally lost 2-0 to the Spurs surely left the players bruised and the side will be looking for home revenge against the Spurs’ North London rivals, the Gunners, this Saturday at 3 PM. Sunderland will fancy their chances of causing an upset as their record at the Stadium of Light has been particularly impressive. The fans on the stands should see a few goals scored this weekend if both teams’ recent form is anything to go by this time around. The record shows that the Black Cats have scored 15 at home while Arsenal are the leading away scorers, with a Premier League’s best of 16 goals converted already.
But the sudden loss of Robin Van Persie through injury this week, deals a mortal blow to the Gunners and Sunderland will be quite pleased he is missing the action, as the Dutch has scored five goals against them in his English career.

However, Arsene Wenger will have a world class replacement in Eduardo, who will be supported by the most creative player in the Premier League today, the talented captain Cesc Fabregas.

Sunderland vs Arsenal

The Gunners have played with more freedom in recent months as manager Arsene Wenger has found a fantastic balance in his lines. Defensively, William Gallas and Thomas Vermaelen are proving to be invincible, while Cesc Fabregas, Andrey Arshavin and Alex Song own the midfield, with the now injured Robin van Persie leading the offense against the opposing sides. Fellow young striker, Denmark’s Nicklas Bendtner (hernia) will also be missing the game, alongside Gael Clichy and Denilson, both with back problems and Johan Djourou, nursing a knee injury.

More positive news come from Theo Walcott and Jack Wilshere, who are both close to be fit once again. They would want to contribute to Arsenal’s trashing of the opposition lately. Arsenal has scored 36 goals in their 11 league games. They are by far the leading scorers in the EPL. The Gunners are also 12 games into an unbeaten run in all their competitions and with Sunderland not having won in three consecutive games the Black Cats will have their hands full.

My Prediction: 2-2
