Following in the footsteps of its more prestigious sister competition, the Europa League held their Group Stage draw today with Tottenham, Swansea City, and Wigan Athletic all a part of it. Swansea were drawn almost instantly from the pot as they were the 2nd team selected and joined Valencia, St. Gallen (Switzerland), and Kuban in a rather tough Group A draw. Wigan were next on the cards and drew Rubin Kazan, Maribor (Slovenia), and Zulte Waregem (Belgium) in a favorable Group D for the Latics. Lastly it was Tottenham who finally got their due and were drawn in Group K alongside the sinking ship known as Anzhi, Tromso (Norway), and Sheriff Tiraspol of Moldova, who have by far the best crest of any team in the competition. Anyways, all 3 teams will be fancied to advance from their respective groups with Wigan probably having the toughest task with Maribor potentially stealing their spot in the knockout round. The complete draw is below for all to see and judge for themselves.
