Foodball’s Coming Home – Win a Telly with HungryHouse

Fill Your Belly, Win a Telly with hungryhouse!

The 2014 World Cup is just 10 days away, and in celebration, and thanks to the guys at HungryHouse, we’re offering our readers the chance to win a £25 takeaway gift voucher, a 1986 Brazil shirt and a Panasonic widescreen high-definition TV!

To be in with a chance of winning any of these prizes, simply have a go at giving a caption to the image of Rivaldo below. We all vividly remember the moment that a 30lb beef burger struck the Brazilian forward whilst he was timewasting in the Brazil vs Turkey 2002 world cup match (and rightly so, everyone hates a cheat). But we want to hear your own captions for this piece of footballing history!

If you are named FootyBlog.net’s winner, your winning caption will then battle it out with all ten first round winners for our grand prize: a 1986 Socrates Brazil shirt (in your size, of course) and a Panasonic widescreen HD TV.

So what are you waiting for? Give us your captions!

NOTE: The deadline for all captions is midnight on Sunday 8th June. This competition is unfortunately only available to residents of the UK! (If you’re outside the UK then feel free to enter the competition by just leaving a comment below).

UPDATE: Competition is now closed, thanks to everyone who entered! The winner is Tessa Naghton with her entry “That dive deserves an award for ham acting and here it is!” – Congratulations Tessa, your £25 voucher is on it’s way!

  1. Rivaldo’s claim that he was the victim of a violent burger-lary were taken with a pinch of salt…

  2. The new delivery system means that half time snacks can be served without interrupting the game.
