France Reveal 23-man Squad for the World Cup

French coach Raymond Domenech has named his final 23-man squad that will lead the French challenge at this years World Cup in Germany.

Domenech also announed that indeed Fabien Barthez will be the number keeper in Germany,ahead of Lyon’s Gregory Coupet.

One player that will feel the pinch is Nicolas Anelka, being yet again for the 3rd!! time excluded
from the French World Cup squad.

Louis Saha, Ribery, Djibril Cisse and Sylvain Wiltord instead will give Domenech attacking options to consider with Thierry Henry and David Trezeguet expected to start.

Domenech made it clear that he had prioritised players with a team spirit: “They have to renounce personal pride and put themselves at the team’s disposal.

“I am convinced those 23 men can lead the French team to the final.
