The two-day strike on the London Underground officially started on Tuesday night – which means thousands of fans will be unable to make the trip to Wembley to watch England v Andorra tonight.
Although limited services in the North West area, there are no over-ground trains running, no park-and-ride facilities and limited parking in and around the Wembley area.
Which all means that England are likely to be cheered on by only a half-full Wembley crowd – and that doesn’t include those corporate lot in the red seats who spend most of their propping up the bar.
Still, good news for those fans who have tickets but are un able to make it – a) it is only Andorra. Yes, you’ll probably miss a few goals, but it’ll hardly be a classic to remember and b) more importantly, you will be entitled to a full refund. Those kind folk at the FA have indeed ensured all fans who have tickets but can’t make it, will get their money back.
So, if they includes you, go to www.thefa.com for more details.
