Van Persie’s future at Arsenal had been up in arms for many weeks now, and a decision was set to be confirmed around now with Holland already out of the Euro’s, and if its true that RVP is to leave Arsenal then this would be a big shock – and if he moves to their rivals Man City then this would be a very bitter pill for Arsenal fans to swallow.
The rumour is that RVP will leave Arsenal and join Man City on a £30 million deal. There could even be players heading in the opposite direction, with City keen to offload surplus members of the squad and to trim the wage bill. Earlier on today Arsenal announced the signing of Olivier Giroud, a well reknown French striker, which could pave the way for Van Persie’s exit.
As I said, its only suggestion right now, but it seems to look as if Van Persie will be on his way out of the North London club, that much looks pretty certain, I’m just not convinced that he’d swap them for City when he knows how his fans will feel about him joining the Premier League champions.
