KLAVAN TO LIVERPOOL

Liverpool have completed the signing of Estonian international Ragnor Klavan from German outfit Augsburg. This is Liverpools third addition this window.

The Estonian defender is an attempt at cover at centre back. Injuries were a common theme last season at Anfield which has already continued with both Sakho and Joe Gomez out  in preseason.

After four seasons in Germany racking up over a 100 international caps in the process he told Liverpools official website: It’s hard to put it into words because it’s been a dream of mine for 22 years to come to the Premier League and be a part of this amazing club, Liverpool.”

This is actually a return to England for the defender having previously failed In a trail at Sunderland.

With the signing Jurgen Klopp has again placed trust in his previous hunting ground. Today’s addition following that of Joel Matip from Germany on a free transfer.
