Man United vs Real Madrid Preview

United vs Madrid match preview

So the epic second leg of the Man United vs Real Madrid is set to commence in just a few hours time.

Manchester United did well 2 weeks ago and came away from the Bernabeu with a 1-1 draw thanks to a Danny Wellbeck header, cancelled out by former United man Ronaldo.

The game could have gone even better for the English side, with Van nPersie uncharacteristically missing a great chance to put his side in the lead. Madrid had chances of their own too, and if it wasn’t for David De Gea being in fine form then things could have been a lot worse.

Ahead of this game there are a few exciting components that look set to make this a huge game tonight. Firstly Ryan Giggs looks set to be involved at some point which will be his 1000th game in the red shirt of United. This is surely to be a rapturous occasion in itself, and Madrid are highly likely to show their own respect of the Welshman, having experienced their own Spanish legend in Raul, in recent times.

Both teams head into this encounter in great form, United having thrashed Norwich 4-0 (although many of the goals came late on, including a Kagawa hat-trick) whilst Madrid warmed up in the best manner possible – by defeating arch enemies Barcelona 2-1.

Form is likely to fly out of the window in games like this. With the red hot atmosphere at Old Trafford, this will be a game for the big name players and there’s a lot riding on this one.

Its sure that this will be an unforgettable game, it normally always is when Real Madrid come to town.
