Cardiff City keeper David Marshall stole the show at Carrow Road as the Scottish net minder made several splendid stops to keep the Norwich attack force at bay and grant his side a somewhat undeserved point as the match finished goalless. Norwich were clearly the better side all game long and managed to amass a whopping 29 attempts at the goal of Marshall, although only 10 of them needed saving by the former Scotland #1.
John Ruddy had himself a solid game in the Norwich goal as well with his one true moment of asking coming midway through the first half as he parried away a close range effort from Cardiff youngster Jordan Munch. Marshall was the star of the day though as he stymied 4 Norwich players (Hooper, Fer, Howson, and Redmond) 2 times apiece en route to his shutout of the Canaries as Chris Hughton’s future may be under intensified heat come the next few weeks.
