We can only expect an entertaining Saturday afternoon from these fixtures. With Newcastle only 2 points away from the drop zone, they will be fighting desperately to get those vital three points. But with Pardew admitting that Ben Arfa is a doubt for the clash, Newcastle will have to seriously buck their ideas up. That is if they’re going to stand a chance against a point hungry City, who will be gunning for a win after Rooney and van Persie denied them last week.
Sitting a point below the Toon at 15th, Sunderland need to turn their fortunes round as well. It is no secret that Manchester United at home poses a serious threat, and even Sunderland do not seem to be getting their hopes up for a win, even a draw could prove difficult. However we’ve seen this week that shock results do happen, and Saturday night could well be bright for both the Tyne and Wear.
