Saturday, 17th April 2010
Kick Off : 17:30 BST
Venue : White Hart Lane, London

This English Premier League fixture between Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea will be plyed at White Hart Lane on Saturday, 17th April 2010, kick-off set for 5:30 PM. The Spurs are definitely without Honduran midfielder Wilson Palacios, who is serving the second part of a two-match suspension. Harry Redknapp has also confirmed that Niko Kranjcar is set to be out of the squad for the rest of the season with an ankle injury. But Tottenham will be looking to derail another of the top EPL teams as Chelsea will visit White Hart Lane on Saturday.

The Spurs’ thrilling and perhaps unexpected midweek victory over the Gunners was the perfect tonic following two unfortunate defeats and has reinvigorated their pursuit of a top-four EPL finish. That victory over Arsenal also helped and did Chelsea a huge favour in their quest for a first-ever English Premier League and Cup double. Thus Carlo Ancelotti’s men head to North London knowing that their first Premier League title since 2006 is within their reach.
As noted Harry Redknapp has confirmed that Niko Kranjcar is set to miss the rest of the season because of an ankle injury. Rose (knee) is doubtful.

Chelsea reports that Ashley Cole has fully recovered from a fractured ankle and will be on the bench. Bosingwa and Essien (both knee) along with Carvalho are out.

Tottenham Hotspur Vs Man United

The Chelsea Blues are no doubt in outstanding form after winning their last five EPL matches in a row, scoring an impressive number of 18 goals in the process and conceding just two goals of their own. But it is relevant to note that their record at White Hart Lane is not what it used to be. Chelsea managed to play 17 consecutive league meetings at Spurs without losing, but the Blues have not won there since August of 2005.

Chelsea has a tough challenge ahead of themselves and additionally they must decide whether to recall Joe Cole, who was sent to the bench on Tuesday when they beat Bolton 1-0 to move four points clear at the top of the Premier League. Chelsea and Man United will not need to be reminded going into the final four games of the season that, in the history of the English Premier league, no team with such a lead at this stage of the season has ever failed to win the title of the league.

My prediction: 1-1
