Not much can steal the headlines away from Gareth Bale’s mega-move to Madrid, but a couple other transfers occurred over the past couple hours here on deadline day with perhaps the most notable being Brazilian midfielder Kaka rekindling his romance with former club AC Milan, who snagged him away from Madrid (why do they need him now) on a 2 year deal (fees undisclosed). The 31 year-old Brazilian now heads back to the club he left for Madrid, and will now surely get more playing time at the San Siro.
And now to the curious case of Chelsea, who you’d think would learn from their mistake of selling Daniel Sturridge to Liverpool as now he has become an elite striker and skyrocketed Liverpool to prominence that they shouldn’t sell to contenders inside the league. Welp…….They didn’t as they have now loaned out Victor Moses to Anfield for the remainder of the season. It makes sense to loan the Nigerian midfielder out as there is no chance he (or anyone else) will get a regular spot in the over-crowded midfield of Chelsea, but it is shocking to me that they decided to loan him out to the Pool. It is fine to loan players out to definite low clubs when you are a contender, like they did with Lukaku at WBA, but this decision could really come back to haunt them at some point. This is fantastic for Liverpool though, as Brendan Rogers brings in his 8th player of the summer as you get the ever increasing feeling that Luis Suarez may not be needed when his suspension ends.
