Cardiff City supporters showed their mass support to manager Malky Mackay after Saturday’s 3-1 defeat by Liverpool at Anfield.
There had been lots of speculation about the future of Mackay, following the leaking of an email which the former Celtic, Norwich, Watford and West Ham defender had received from club owner Vincent Tan telling him to resign or face being sacked.
However, the clubs supporters reacted angrily to this and stayed behind after the final whistle, despite their defeat, to sing the praises of their manager and reiterate their stance of the current situation.
A chant of ‘Don’t sack Mackay, Malky Mackay’ rang around Anfield for a reported 225 times.
Mackay has since been told his job at the Premier League new boys, who currently find themselves in 15th place.
Good on the Cardiff fans.
