Aston Villa have really been going at it here as the Transfer Deadline approaches, giving up both Stephen Ireland and Barry Bannan but also managing to acquire the service of Lazio striker Libor Kozak. Bannan became the second Villa player to depart the club on Monday with his leaving to Crystal Palace on a 3 year deal. Bannan will now feature regularly for the Eagles and should help them out a good deal in their push to stay up. On the plus side for the Villains, they have given Cristian Benteke some assistance up front by grabbing the Czech striker Kozak from Seria A side Lazio, a deal good for 4 years. Kozak featured 58 times for the Italian side since 2008, scoring only 10 goals in the process, although he is expected to feature heavily for Paul Lambert’s side.
