Willian set to sign new four-year Chelsea contract

Willian is on the verge of a four-year contract with Chelsea as they look to fend off Jose Mourinho’s interest in the winger.

The 27-year-old was one of the only things to come out of a poor campaign as he was one of the few players with any credit.

This summer, former manager Jose Mourinho’s top transfer targets include Nemanja Matic and fellow Chelsea star Willian.

Reportedly Manchester United was willing to splash out along the lines of £60million for the Brazil international this summer for a reunion with the Special One.

The star’s Chelsea contract is due to terminate in two years. Following Brazil’s surprising early exit from the Copa America, he is now on holiday.

However, Antonio Conte’s side have made it clear that they will not immerse themselves in bids for one of their Key players.

According to the Sun, a new four-year deal means Willian would be among the club’s top earners, which is close to being finalised.
