Christian Vieri's Fall From Grace

footy news blog

It’s always sad to see the fantastic players of yesteryears fade into the horizon but Christian Vieri’s case is even sadder (is there such a word?).

Vieri, 33, is among the most well-travelled players in Italy. He started his career with Prato in Italy’s third division in 1989 and made his Serie A debut with Torino in 1991.

Here’s a list of clubs he’s played for:

A.C. Prato
Torino F.C.
Pisa Calcio
Ravenna Calcio
S.S.C. Venezia
Atalanta B.C.
Juventus F.C.
Atlético de Madrid
S.S. Lazio
Internazionale Milano F.C.
A.C. Milan
AS Monaco FC
Atalanta B.C.

Vieri has now re-joined his former club Atalanta and what makes this story sad is that he was only given a 1 year contract and a wage of €1,500!, yup a sad case indeed.
