Don’t worry, its not that Lucas, but 19 year old Brazilian super-teen Lucas Moura of Sao Paulo with a huge 26 million transfer fee agreed between Man United and the Brazilian giants, as reported in today’s Mirror.
I’m not convinced that United would spend so highly on a player still so young, as this doesn’t always tend to be United’s behaviour within the transfer market. Maybe the Glazers and the club feel they need to make a statement within the transfer market, that they are still happy to spend big when required, in a bid to claw back the title from noisy neighbours City.
Lucas Moura started the game versus Team GB on Friday as a substitute and came on to impress in their 2-0 win, and Brazil are favourites to go far in the tournament. If he was to join Man United, Lucas would join the likes of Brazilian’s Raphael, Fabio, Anderson and co.
