To me, if I was asked whom was my favourite footballer ever to watch, the most talented player whom brought the most personal enjoyment to see, I would have to say Zinedine Zidane. Tag: Eric Cantona
Eric Cantona is a former French and Manchester United footballing legend that now makes a living as an actor.
Cantona enjoyed a fantastic, lengthy career, playing for the likes of Marseille, Montpellier, Leeds United and most memorably, Manchester united.
It was during his Manchester United days that he had the most success, winning four Premier League titles as well as two FA Cups.
Unfortunately, Cantona is equally well known for being banned from football for an astounding eight months after the infamous kung-fu kick incident. Having been red carded; Cantona was making his way off the field when he assaulted a fan in the crowd who had launched some verbal abuse his way with a stunning flying kick in a match at Crystal Palace.
However, Cantona’s on-field exploits still thankfully overshadow that incident, and he is widely regarded as one of Manchester United’s greatest ever players. He was named in the PFA Team of the Century for the years 1907-2007.
Cantona has two children with ex wife Isabell Ferrer, as well as two with current wife Rachida Brakni, whom he married in 2007.
