Leicester winning their first Premier League title will forever be known as one of the greatest sporting shocks ever. But with all great football teams comes an entourage, so who are the women who can expect a winners’ medal in their home in the near future?
JAMIE VARDY X REBEKAH NICHOLSON
First up is Jamie Vardy’s finance Rebekah Nicholson, 33. The former nightclub promo girl and Foxes’ top goalscorer are expected to get married sometime in May after being pushed forward with the rumour circulating that Vardy is set to be called up to the Euro 2016 England team.
Although Becky has two children from other relationships, the couple have a daughter named Sofia together.
RIYAD MAHREZ X RITA
Next is Rita, 24 the wife of Riyad Mahrez. At the start of Leicester’s title season, the former business women and Mahrez married, however, prefers to stay out of the limelight.
Likewise, they have a daughter named Inaya together. The devoted mother was not seen during last month’s PFA awards.
KASPER SCHMEICHEL X STINE GYLDENBRAND
Goalkeeper Schmeichel and girlfriend Stine have been a long-term relationship in which they have two children, Max and Isabella.
Schmeichel has previously described his girlfriend as “wonderful”, allowing him to focus on his football during the season.
Prior to the relationship she had graduated at the University of Chester in 2009 as a midwife. She went on to worked as a midwife at a hospital near Birmingham.
Together they have started the Gyldenbrand Schmeichel Foundation in the hopes of helping maternal mortality in Africa.
DANNY SIMPSON X ASHLEIGH DEFTY
Within recent weeks, it has been reported that the full-back has been dating Ex On The Beach star Ashleigh Defty.
The two were apparently recently seen getting close during a cinema screening in Manchester while allegedly been on a series of dates.
A source told the sun “Ashleigh and Danny have been keeping their romance under wraps as they don’t want anyone to think he’s being distracted with the most crucial games of his life ahead.
“Its early days but there’s no denying they’re into each other. Ashleigh has even started referring to him as her boyfriend.”
CHRISTIAN FUCHS X RALUCA GOLD-FUCHS
Though the Fuchs and Raluca have 2 children, Anthony and Ethan, he does not live with her. The former senior analyst at Goldman Sachs permanently lives in Manhattan with the two children while Fuchs is enjoying life in Leicester.
However, with his own football academy in New York, he intends to move in with his family.
JEFFREY SCHLUPP X CALLAN GLOVER
After giving birth in January 2014 she has a young boy with Arlo, however, prefers to stay out of the media limelight. She has a current role as a patron of the Edgar’s Gift Charity.
MARC ALBRIGHTON X CHOLE FULFORD
The couple has recently been engaged while living together in their west midlands home. Their first child named Matilda Beau was born in the month of February 2012.
NATHAN DYER X LAURA WATTS
The winger met Laura, a make-up artist in Southampton roughly 8 years ago when she decided to move to Swansea to live with him when it secured a transfer there.
The couple had a lavish ceremony with close family and friends in June 2013
